downtime

Seems like the blog service we choose is too popular for its own good and is suffering from too much traffic. We like to think all the traffic is to our blog… (not)

Chances are many of you haven’t been able to see any of our posts, or only partial posts. Hopefully it will get better otherwise we will move it all somewhere else and let people know.

Excellent animals at Design Miami, in honor of Enzo.

me-a-me : miami • {day five}

We hit the beach first thing this morning and swam in the green-blue waters before going to the neighborhood French cafe for coffee. This was our day to visit Design Miami next to Art Basel.  Their white tent is distinguished by the folding and cutting of the tent’s vinyl facade in a striking mosaic pattern. The entrance housed hanging net chairs for the public to sit and swing in designed by Konstantin Grcic. Inside was a marketplace for limited edition design with high-end galleries exhibiting museum quality furniture, lighting and objects of art. We were wowed by the ingenuity of the human mind and the designers who displayed restraint and such clarity in manifesting beauty.  We were underwhelmed by some of it…

As the day drew to a close everyone began packing up this 5 day art whirlwind. Debbie Miami got only final look at Mr Brainwash while Reina, aka Sho Sho Biscayne got another look at Art Basel. Photos will follow. We head home tomorrow, more photos to filter, more memories and instances of Art & Beauty to come.
